Types of Braces

Thanks to advances in orthodontic technology, O’Neill Orthodontics provides our patients with the latest options when it comes to wearing braces. In addition to traditional metal braces, ceramic, tooth-colored braces are very popular with teens and adults who are self-conscious, along with Invisalign and Spark clear removeable aligners, and even ‘truly invisible’ braces on the INSIDE of your teeth. . Dr. O’Neill will help you determine which treatment option is right for you.

Ceramic Braces

LightForce braces are tooth-colored, digitally designed and 3D printed using artificial intelligence (AI). Because each bracket is custom-made for each individual tooth, the braces conform exactly to the surface and shape of your teeth. You get better results, more quickly, comfortably and precisely. Kids often individualize their look with elastic ties, in their school or favorite sports team colors.

Lingual Braces

Lingual braces are a truly invisible option for patients who don’t want visible braces, and/or when Invisalign is not a treatment option. Placed behind your teeth, no one will know that you are wearing braces unless you tell them. Using state-of-the-art technology, treatment time is often faster too!

Invisalign & Spark Aligners

Clear removeable appliances, such as Invisalign and Spark, use a series of removable aligners to straighten your teeth. No one can tell you are wearing those aligners because they are almost invisible! Because Invisalign aligners are removable, you are not limited in what you can eat and drink during treatment. Plus… brushing and flossing are less of a hassle.

Metal Braces

Traditional metal braces are still used today, but they are smaller and more comfortable, and constructed of high-grade space age metal alloys. Our younger patients often like to wear colored elastics (rubber bands) in their school or favorite sports team colors.
